Paint Overspray

Classy Detail

I'm just wondering how much you guys will charge to remove a paint overspray on a 2003 black Land Cruiser. I just want to hand wash and clay the entire vehicle except the roof. I tried to clay a small area using ClayMagic and it came off easilly after 3 to 4 passes but the clay gets dirty easily. Maybe I need 2 clay bars to do this job. The customer said the he hit something on the way home but he didn't see it. Maybe it's not a paint because it comes off easily. Theoverspray went to the driver side and rear including windows in the back area of the vehicle. He said that he doesn't care how much I have to charge him, he just want me to remove it. I still want to be fair to my customer not to over charge him. Thanks for any suggestions.

Although I've never detailed for a living I would imagine that your customer would be elated to have their Land Cruiser back to normal and freshly waxed for anything under $400!! Thats a $60,000 vehicle. You can imagine how upset the owner must be.

Whatever you charge your gonna be the hero!

Looks like it was "sprayed" by a cement mixer :nixweiss . It happened to me once, on the freeway right in front of my old Maxima sometime ago. I think I took it to a local car wash at that time for a quick wash (I wasn't an Autopia member then:) ). Didn't remember and didn't care for how it was after then.:o
