pads for AIO and SG

AIO - polishing pad ( white for Lake country, yellow for Megs )

SG - finishing pad ( grey for LC, tan for Megs )

Other brands I dont know, but I wouldn't recommend using the PC for SG application. I personally found that it gunked up my pad bad.

thanks are lake country pads like the regular pads sold on most sites?

aslo should i be using a orange or yellow pad when im using 1Z ultra polish?

ooo and why soes autopia only sell orange pads and not yellow aslo??

I apply AIO to already polsihed paint using a gray finishing pad.

I only apply SG with a damp MF - I think I can control it better that was. The SG on the applicator tends to build stickiness over time, so it is refolded about 3-4 times doing the truck. I don't think I want that sticky goo in the pad.

Generally, yeah, if they're the yellow=cutting, white= polishing, gray=finishing. But you can always call and ask.

Either, but I use yellow myself.

'Cause it's his store :D He sells what he wants to.

I use the white polishing pad and the gray finishing pad from CMA for AIO. I use the gray pad if I used a different polish prior to AIO. I apply SG by hand with a mf applicator pad.

im going to be using 1Z ultra polish before i do the AIO and SG... so that means i should use the finishing pad for the AIO and do it by hand for the SG?

1Z ultra is supposed to be a fairly aggressive polish. You can either follow it up with their metallic polish before you go to AIO on a gray finishing pad or try AIO with a polishing pad followed by AIO with gray pad. Then SG by hand. I'm not so sure that if Ultra leaves any hazing, that AIO would be enough to remove it. I guess you have to try and see.

AIO - Finishing pad, Meguiars since they are easy for me to acquire. Very very little cutting which I don't need much anyways.

SG - Damp terry applicator and MF towel.
