I am using Meguiars pads and on my 7424 and I have noticed that towards the end of breaking down a product, like say #9 I start getting white dust from the pad spitting up on the finish. Am I over buffing?

I've never used #9 but most polishes and some sealants will dust. It's normal.



I haven't used Optimum polishes but I hear they dust a lot less...



Do an IPA wipe, QD wipe, or wash the vehicle after polishing.
 
Don't let M09 run dry...usually that's when you will see dust from that product (and most others)
