Pad choices

Tomorrow I will be doing a black Sebring, and I went to my local paint shop to get some pads today, but they did not have the velcro backed yellow meguiars polishing pad, (they had one for a rotary with the 5/8 theaded backing, but it doesnt go on the PC)

I am wondering if using a red cutting pad with DACP followed by a white finishing pad with DACP would be a substitute for just using it once with a yellow one, or is there something else I should try? I need to work with what I have for now, but in the future, I can order ahead and have what I need.

I have: PC, white pads, red pad, DACP, Mothers cali gold cleaner polish, and Klasse AIO.

wow dont do that, red cutting pad and DACP is going to be very abrassive. I would try DACP with a white pad first.

I realise that it will be agressive, but depending on the condition of the paint when I see it, I may need something that agressive, but I will start out with something light and move up if I have too.

This thread shows DACP with a wool cutting pad on a clear coat, so I dont see why it would be bad if conditions warrent its use. Realise that this is on a 4+ year old car that has seen only swirl-producing car washes and not much else.
