Pad Choices for Flex

Hey guys, im takin the plunge and ordering up the flex tomorrow sometime. I am just wondering with the added power of this machine (moving from a PC) what differences in pad selection and polishes should i use? When you guys use this machine is a full corrective detail always two steps or would something like Poorboy's SSR2.5 on a white pad and a flex remove more than say a PC with an orange with the same polish? I want to know what i can get away with here and dont want to remove more CC then i need to...i detail on the side for extra income so i will see a variety of paint finishes and i would like to know what changes you made to your combos when moving to the flex from the PC...thanks a million!

Better said, a Go-To product that has varying results based on pad/speed/pressure type thing....i would really love to make it 1 step with great results but i realize those are few and far between

The white ccs pad works excellent with the flex and leaves a wax ready finish.

The flex is 60% more powerful. You don't really need to worry that much about cutting clear with the flex.

Excellent, that is really what i was looking for ....i guess that has to do with the aggressiveness of the polish correct? i only have 3 white pads so i better order up a few more..thanks!

I'm struggling with this as well - really want the 3401 but am completely confused over pad choices....

1. I have a set of 6" Sonus SFX pads - will these work with the 150mm BP?

2. I saw references to the 6.5" LC white polishing pads - are these the same as the CCS pads with the dimpled finish? I cant seem to find the flat LC pads anywhere in the UK....

3. exactly which pads could I use with the 150mm BP?

many thanks

You are fine with 6" pads

150mm = 5.90551181103 inches

thanks guys - I was getting confused after reading references to the size of the hook and loop pads on the back of the pad itself???

Looks like I'll order one up tomorrow - Megs UK is just up the road so I can always get some 6.5" pads from them if I need them.
