P21S vs Pinnacle Paste Glaz

I tried P21S this evening on my wife's white Accord. The Accord has a layer of AIO that was applied about 2 weeks ago. After washing the car, I decided to try out P21S since I have been using Paste Glaz as a topper on my Passat, I was curious about P21S. It was easy to apply, a little less oily that Paste Glaz, however P21S required a bit more effort to remove with a MF towel that Paste Glaz does. I found some smears after using an MF to remove the P21S and used Quik Shine to remove the smearing. In the morning light tomorrow, I will see how the P21S looks. As far as ease of use, I prefer Paste Glaz but if the P21S lasts longer, that will be the final word. Since the car is white, I'm not sure that P21S will look much different from Paste Glaz.
 
I've found that PPG gives more of a glow to light colored cars. P21S doesn't do much in the glow department for my light cars. That would be the only difference. That's ok though. Just top your P21S with some PPG. :D The best of both worlds.
 
Did you apply P21S to the whole car,then start buffing off? Or did you do one body panel at a time? The first time I used S100 (suposedly the same), I did the whole car, then tried to remove it. It was a PITA. Then I read more on here and I was suppsoed to do smaller section and wipe it up right away. The next time I used S100 it was the easiest product I have ever used.
 
I've used both and feel the PPG leaves an oily surface which captures more dust than S100. Both give an excellent shine with a slight edge to S100 for my metallic silver car.

Nope, one panel at a time, (a door, then remove, half the hood, then remove, etc)

Did you ever try Pinnacel Paste Glaz? It is a little easier to remove, not much.

No I have not. I just find it hard to believe there is something easier to apply/remove than S100/P21S when done in small areas. I tohught maybe you waited longer for it to haze like many waxes do. Wipe on with the foam applicator provided, and wipe off with a microfiber towel.



But if Pinnicle is even easier, great!
 
I've tried PPG a long time ago and it really does seem a tad easier to use than P21S and Souveran. Also, it's got an amazing scent to it, nicer than the almighty Souveran scent. PPG is pure carnauba-therapy! :D
 
As a follow up to my original post, I used Paste Glaz on my Passat today and I must admit for metallic silver paint, Paste Glaz is awesome. Maybe P21S is better for dark color paint but since we have a white and a Silver vehicle, Paste Glaz will be my choice for a "premium" carnauba. It makes the paint glow, I can't explain it any other way.

BTW, CMA has Paste Glaz on sale for $24.95. IMHO, if you have a silver, light color metallic or white car, you gotta try it.:up
 
ok thats it im getting PPG, i curently use S100 which i love, but am dying to try PPG, easier to remove, kinda hard to believe, but from what ive read its AMAZING on light colored cars:bow its on sale now at the pinn web site, $21.95 vs $24.95 at properautocare's site.

On my Silver Passat, I prefer the look of PPG to P21S/S100. They are both easy to remove. On my wifes Accord, the paint is not in as good condition as my Passat (wonder why?) but the P21S took more effort to remove that PPG but I kinda like P21S on the White Accord.

I have, along with Souveran and all are super easy to apply and remove. You just have to remember to do one panel at a time and use thin layers. All 3 wipe off with no effort.



It could be that your wife's Accord does not have a clearcoat...seriously, I regularly detail a white 1998 Accord V6 EX that is not clearcoated, and I've noticed S100/P21S doesn't wipe off quite as easily, but I wouldn't say it takes much effort. Try the P21S on your car and see if it comes off easier.



The only way to get smears with S100/P21S is to use way too much, IMO.
 
I think the difference of these waxes is really tough to explain. It depends on the color and the lighting. Its all a mater of personal preference. I for one have PPG, LS, Souveran, P21S and Blitz on my shelf because I've found that they each have things I like different about them. Some look better than others on different colors. I think it is worth it to have all of them if you get the chance. I will always love PPG on light colors, especially silver. It is just stunning on silvers and beiges.
 
Jngrbrdmam, took your advice on a recent post and applied Souveran over PPG on a white Vette. It really did make a differance. The shine is outstanding. Thanks for the tip. Will be using combo for quite awhile.

You are 100% correct:xyxthumbs The Accord does not have a clearcoat. And P21S did come off just as easy as the Paste Glaz on my Passat. The P21S looks different than Paste Glaz- on my silver car, the P21S gives great depth while the Paste Glaz seems to enhance the paint and gives it a wetlook finish.
 
Im looking forward to trying P21s of the souveran i am about to ship over which is going to be in readyness for my black car coming soon!......as soon a peugoet can be bothered to give me a release date, so far only a price has been given!
