P21S vs #26

Just how good is P21S? I currently use #26 on non white cars and it works well for me. Pretty deep and wet looking on the darker cars, but will the P21S wax take it up to the next level?

That Meg's #26 used to be my favorite go to wax for years! I just loved it. Then about 5 years ago, I discovered the amazing P21S wax! Do yourself a favor and grab yourself some. If you really wanna kick it up a notch, use the P21S Paintwork Cleanser prior to the P21S. You'll be glad you did!! Both products are a dream to use and the results wil be awe inspiring!!

Happy Waxing!!

I forgot to tell ya that the P21S won't stain your trim, doesn't dry white & chalky & it removes with a feathers touch. As you apply it to one panel at a time, work it in until there's almost no wax to buff off. Then buff and stand back! I love using the Sonus Carnauba Spritz with it as a quick detailing spray. The Sonus Spritz & P21S Wax compliment each other quite well. I find that these products work great on both light & dark colors.

Have you tried the Klasse All In One, Klasse Sealant Glaze topped with the P21s Wax yet? Lasting protection with nice wet look!

Got Microfibers?

No MFs yet, but will be getting some along with some WW, and more PC pads from Excel.

So the P21S has a difference noticeable enough to justify the cost difference. I think I will be getting some soon.

Hey V8!

When it comes to quality carnauba waxes, you can't go wrong with P21S or the Souveran. I prefer the P21S because it gives great results & it's half the price of the Souveran. Please bear in mind that it's just one Man's opinion! You won't regret paying the $30.00 for the P21S!!

Have you seen the Guru Reports Wax Test? There top 3 products were Zaino, Klasse & P21S. Also.........Any products that David Bynon ( Autopia car care site) recommends is worth using! David is a tremendous resource with a terrific website!

You must have a tundra(the only toyota truck with a V8). I have one too, and on my graphite grey #26 looks great, although, I havent put any of my p21s on the thing yet.

IMO they can't be compared directly because #26 has a lot of synthetic components-both are good but will give a different look

mrecktid, where did you get that info from? I don't understand why a company would sell an identical product for cheaper. On properautocare.com it shows that they are both 6.2oz tubs too.

There is a durability scoring error with #26 and I believe it was corrected in the glass cleaner issue. Not sure how it changed the rankings but it should have moved up quite a bit.

If you have light colored paint, you will probably prefer S100/P21S but on dark paint, you may still like #26 better. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

S100 is cheap enough it is worth trying out.

Huh? How can they make a wax correction in the glass cleaner report? That's like telling me I have to look for sports scores in the business section. It's not like they are doing a monthly publication and they are making a correction to a previous issue. I bought the wax test last year...nobody told me I had to get the glass cleaner report to get the end of the wax test! Besides, the glass cleaner report is sold out. And who needs a glass cleaner report? It's not like there's any durability issues like with waxes or tire shines (yes, I know there are performance issues with glass cleaners...just seems like the product least in need of a "lab" test). /rant

I got the report too and noticed the inconsistency of the scoring on #26. I didn't know they corrected the scoring in the glass cleaner test.:nixweiss

I agree with you. It does seem wrong to do a correction in another issue. They should have mailed out an addendum or something to all those who bought the wax test report. But, then again, they probably couldn't afford it, since they're not exactly the size of Car and Driver. Still, I do believe they should have done something about it.

Steve told me that was where that correction and a couple others were made. I guess that is the way you have to handle it with a small publication. I know it cost Steve a lot of money to get the wax test out as it is. USA Today can print corrections the next day, your options are seriously limited with a one off publication.

Still, if anyone knows what the true score of #26 was after the correction, I'd be interested in hearing it. :)

#26 is a nice product which imparts a really good look on dark colours (and probably doesn't get the props it deserves here), but after using S100, there isn't a huge amount of difference looks wise, but S100 gets the knod from me for ease of use. Thats not to say that #26 is a PITA or anything like that, but S100 is better. Plus its cheaper (at least here in Australia).........

I have used both #26 and S100 on my car, along with Blitz and #16. I really didn't notice much of a visual difference. Probably needed more light. There is definitely a difference in ease of buffing, though. Buffing off S100 was a joke. The others were definitely harder. I know you have an easier time buffing if you put on a thin film, but I had a real hard time trying to get #26 on thin.
