P21S over EGP over AIO on Silver Metallic - WOW!

I just thought I'd post my findings on my silver car here. I did my whole car recently with AIO topped with P21S. The car looked good, but lacked that wet look and depth.

After reading a few posts here, I tested one panel (front right hand wing). I redid AIO, then after curing did a single layer of EGP. Then, after curing I did a single layer of P21S.

All I can say is WOW!!! I've never seen silver paint look this wet and deep!!!! I can wait to do the whole car - although I'll probably layer the EGP and P21S!!!! I re3ally didn't think it was possible to get silver looking this great.

If you have a silver car (or any light colour) you need to try this combo. Me and my mates are blown away by the results. :)

Did you try applying the P21S with the PC yet? Use a finishing pad (I actually used the Green Sonus pad from the Autopia PC kit as the Blue one was already dirty), pop the wax out of the pot and rub it evenly over the foam, then spend some time to get a nice thin/even coating over the panels at a low speed (2-3 on the dial) no pressure required on the PC just let it sit against the paint surface. Do the whole car, then go back to where you started with a nice clean MF turning it to a clean part of the cloth for every panel.

I found the results are WAY better than applying by hand.

The test panel was by hand, but previouis did exactly as you described with the PC. P21S is really easy to use, but I've ordered Souvergn Signature series wax, so I'll give that a go. Once I do the whole car, I'll post up some photos.

ive thought about using the p21s with the PC befoere but was advized it was so easy by hand there was no need.

I like the idea of EGP underneath though, i may try that on my dark car.

It's down to personal preference. I like to apply P21s and the equivilent by hand. I find it relaxing a soothing...sometime's it's nice to crack out the fist at times like these.

Looking forward to the pics of the Astra Coupe Mike :)

This is just about the same process I'm using on my black car now. Except instead of AIO, I use SRP. Then a layer of EGP and topped with P21S. Results are awesome! A deep wet look with great reflectivity.

I've tried using the PC to apply P21S but I liked it better by hand. The PC did not save any time and I think I have better control over product usage. Same with EGP.

has anyone tried applying EGP over KSG? I've just been warned that EGP contains petroleum distillates that would compromise the KSG layers I have on now.

baffling, this detailing thing... but i love it *grins madly*

I judt tried p21s in a side by side with fmj,car is a royal maroon 68 mustang,I can't detect any differance, under any lighting conditions.the surface of the fmj is much slicker, and i'd bet the fmj will last longer, although the car is hardly outside. In my humble(stupid) opinion I can see no reason to top fmj with p21s or any carnuba. It doesn't appear any wetter to me.
