P21s Durable??

The Game

Since P21s is listed in the GURU report as being the #1 rated car carnauba wax. What is the durability factor for winter & summer conditions? Also, did Natty's enter the scene after the report was published? I'm asking because of the dollar value seems to play an important role instead of quality..

Natty's came about after the Guru report.

P21S is not the most durable wax that I've used. It lasted about 3-4 weeks for me.

On the plus side, it was very easy to apply/remove, so it wasn't a chore to re-apply so often.

But if you were planning on using it on a not-very-well cared for car and wanted something that would last possibly 4-6 months, then P21S wouldn't be the best choice.

For the dollar value factor, try S100 instead of P21S. Very similar, available at most Harley shops. I think it's around $15 or $20 US.

The durability during warmer months is pretty good for a nube. However, for the winter, I'd either switch to a sealant or switch to Collinite. These will give much better durability than a regular carnauba.

And yes, the Guru Reports was published before Natty's was released:)

Depends on the conditions your car is exposed to. I usually get about 6 weeks out of P21S and my cars are outside 24/7. I never used Natty's and some has said its has a deeper wet shine. I would imagine the durability would not be any better. IMO most crnubas will last 6-8 weeks at most so don't count on them lasting very long. The price of Natty's is nice and the looks has been said to be great, its definately a must try product for under $15. FWIW S100 which is similar to P21 but marketed for motorcycles can be bought at a Harley shop for $15 is a worthwhile product you can try also. I love P21S looks and its so easy to wipe on and off it does not matter you need to apply monthly.

I'd say you can get 6-12 weeks, depending on enviromental factors. So easy to use durability really isn't a problem anyway.

while P21S is an excellent, straightforward carnauba, I don't think it's a product you reach for if you seek longevity unless it's a non-daily driver.

what kind of carnuba lasts 6 months? If you put on a pure carnuba wax of any kind expect about 6 weeks at the most. I've been using s100 over Klasse AIO and it lasts better than any pure wax I've used. I haven't used Natty's. At four weeks, S100 is holding strong, but here is the thing. It is so easy to put on an extra coat, my car rarely makes it four weeks and its depth and shine over Klasse AIO is spectacular.
