P21S: an observation and a theory

Well, I've had the P21S on my car for the past 2 weeks and like most people have been telling me the shine does get better after a couple of days. It's actually quite dramatic. I have a theory about this: The heat from the sun is curing the wax and specifically the surface gets harder and glossier. If this is the case then a final buffing with an orbital or even a rotary with an MF bonnet would make the shine unbelievable. Has anyone tried this? I'm really itching to get myself some MF bonnets now.

Interesting. For me, P21S increases in depth and gloss a week/wash later. Prehaps this explains why some zymol users spray and buff off water after waxing...

It's an interesting topic and I'd like to find out more. However, this phenomenom happens to my car which is parked inside 90% of the time. The wax definately cures with or without the sun's help.

Maybe I will address this question to P21S itself and see what kind of response (if any) that I get.

I just thought of something. I'm a newbie so I haven't tried very many different types of waxes (just the Mother's pure paste and Gold Class). I was wondering if this curing thing happens with other type waxes. Do Blitz, Souveran, etc. also display this behavior?

I think all waxes cure. I just think it depends on the wax if it cures to a high shine or cure and does something else like become more durable.

I would NOT use a MF bonnet on a rotary buffer. Rotary buffers were not intended for that purpose and damage could occur.:down

This happens with Blitz too and the 'high-shine' period is a bit longer, but the increase in shine is not as dramatic.

I can't remember if this occurs with Souveran as well, but I would be pretty surprised if it didn't.

I've also heard Meguiar's Gold Class does this too.
