So i clayed my white maxima a few days ago, full wax and treatment and everything.

A friend who has been in the detailing business comes over and rubs a cigarette plastic wrapping over the paint and says, "feel all the overspray"........there were bumps that i could feel all over the car!

He said that u need to cut the clay into small pieces and 'roll it around.' He explained the process that it took to actually remove the bad stuff and not just push it around but it was hard to follow. I was hoping someone could explain how to properly clay the car so that it's perfect. I apologize if this has been explained somewhere else.

Thanks.

Roll it around? I am not sure how that will remove anything, but maybe he knows something that I dont. You may need to go with a more aggressive clay. I know AutoMagic has several grades of clay. With severe cases of overspray, wetsanding may be required. An abrasive compound like Menzerna PG might be able to remove some of the overspray.
