Oversparay ?

Ok, so recently I had the mirrors covers color matched to the car, and had my bottom lip repainted. The guy that did the work did an Awesome Job on the paint. Perfect color match, it looks great. Unfortunatley I now have overspray all over my car. The guy that painted everything is contracted by our Dealership. He only charged me $125 for everything which is a great price since I was quoted $275 - $400 everywhere else. I clayed the area with Opti clay, it removed the ruffness from the surface, but the haze is still there, even after OHC and a cutting pad it still remained. I may have to wetsand, but that would be my last option. Do you think that megs overspray clay, or a more agressive clay would do the trick. Im not going to have the guy that painted everything fix it, because I would like to tackle this myself. Any recomendations?

No suggestions? I guess im just going to try the Megs Overspray clay and hope for the best. VW paint is stupid hard so hopefully I wont spend all day :buffing: to correct this.

I have read that Clearkote Compound Moose and Clearkote Blue Moose do an excellent job at removing overspray but I haven't tried it for myself yet. Much better than clay on excessive overspray (again based on what I've read) but you will need to follow up with a less aggressive polish afterwards. Hope this helps!

Would you say that the Clearcote Compund is more aggresive than OHC? I really dont want to wetsand if I dont have to, but that is looking like the route I will have to go. YAY. :)

Thks for threads. I will be trying the CCMC on Sat. If that does not take care of it wetsand here I come. I will keep yall posted.

I would wetsand 2000 grit, finish with 3000 grit

 IDEA :Should he on the other hand start and go all the way thru with #3000 ? He may decide to stop at any given point. A bit safer too... Whaddaya say ??
