'97 Camaro SS - deep swirling! A few of the deeper RIDS remain. Plastics were pretty easy and much softer than the rock-hard fiberglass SLP hood and spoiler, which also had far less orange peel than the rest of the car.

-Clay w/ DP gray clay & ONR

-Wheels cleaned with ONR/foam sticks.

-AA ES on tires

-Meg's Hyper Dressing 2.5:1 in wheel wells

Paint:

-M105/FPW: 2-3x on hood and spoiler. Also experimented with 3M EC, Presta Ultra, and some wool

M105/orange hand CCS applicator around hood intake

-SIP/white CCS

-85RD/black CCS

-Alcohol wipedown

-Opti-Seal on paintwork and wheels

-All exterior glass: KAIO

Interior: (sorry, no pics)

-Vaccumed

-Interior plastics cleaned and protect with Meg's QID

-Leather protected with 303 Protectant

On to the good stuff:

that's buttery smooth looking! love those lake country hand pads. recently used that very orange one wih some M105. great job

Thanks! Those sure do work great in places where even the 3.5-4" pads are a trick to use with the rotary.

nice ! That hood looks like a real pain in the ***.

Thanks. Yes, the hood was sort of a time consuming pain. It was worth it in the end though.

I used Opti-Seal recently on the wifes white Volvo, Really liked the look it gave. Great work by the way.

Thanks. Opti-Seal has been my go to sealant as of late. I think it does best with a couple layers (or more) durability wise.

I love Opti-Seal but it really doesn't do the GM white justice. Frankly, it's hard to find anything that does. Personally, I have found that NXT Tech Wax looks the best of any LSP's I've used, even though it's durability is quite poor. So, if I'm working on GM white, in order to get the NXT reflection/depth I actually use #21 followed by #26 which achieves both looks and protection. Additionally, Duragloss #105 should do the trick as well.

Just some options for the future if you're looking into other things. Car looks great and I can appreciate the time it takes to get it looking good as I own an arctic white LS1 myself.

Thanks guys!

Thanks, I'll have to try that out sometime.

Amazing detail, looks like it was at least a 2 Advil afternoon! Now get the owner on a regular maintenance plan and keep that SS looking great.

Thanks! My lower back and upper legs let me know they had enough for a few days after completing the job.
