I did a search and found a few posts that discussed the use of clay, however i did not notice any discussing the over-utilization of a clay bar.
Q: Is it possible to over clay a car?
I recently purchased a Escalade ESV (Black), and since it wasnt raining (for the first time in about a week), i decided to go out and do the baggie test. Sure enough, the behemoth requires claying. I decided i would tackle the hood first, and i noticed a drastic improvement even from a single "claying", however i could still feel the occassional bump or sandy spot. Which brings me to the above question.
Rant: Ohh how i wish car dealers would take better care of the products they sell. As much as i love the suv, and detailing, i can honestly say that i am not looking forward to claying the entire thing, especially if i have to clay it multiple times.
thanks
Pete
