I have been lurking mostly these last weeks and months. Lots of things going on....just like everyone else but I have to say that I have had a great time searching for a new vehicle.

The Black Truck is soon to be history. In a few minutes I will clean out the glove box, take out the custom floor matts(I am not sure why for they will not fit anything else that I own), and do my final wipedown before taking it to the dealer and picking up my new vehicle.

I am looking forward to getting familiar with the eccentricities of Chevrolet's HHR. Last nite I made a deal with the sales manager to trade the Black truck in on a 2008 HHR SS. It is Victory Red with every available option less leather seats. (CharlesW...don't give me a hard time about the leather seats....my wife has already been there and done that. LOL!!)

I will post pictures of the HHR after I bring it home. I am looking forward to working on a clean palate of paint and seeing if all I learned about detailing by swirling up the Black Truck was worth it.:notme::passout:
 
I have to admit that both LD and I lamented the passing of the Black truck but it was quickly forgotten when he realized that I had purchased a vehicle in his favorite color.

Congrats buddy! I hope you enjoy it - but it will be sad to see the Black Beauty go. Just think what the next person to own it will do to it..... :(

Have had the new vehicle for a few days now. Still am tninking about the wya I am going to attach my next detail so it is not all shiny but it is looking good summer after recent deluge in Harker Heights, Texas.

The vehicles future has a clay session for sure and with a little polishing but not really much to clean up. The dealer parked it under a carport and did not touch the vehicle once I made a decision to purchase so the paint is in good condition. Since I haven't done anything to it I have not induced any swirls on the paint.....YET! LOL!

Onthing nice is I can have my place back on the driveway. The Black truck took up to much room The HHR fits in quite nicely.
