Just when I thought I had it all figured out, I went to place my order and 5.25" Opti MF pads-Out of Stock, LC 5.5" CCS yellow and orange-both Out of Stock. I'm ordering a GG6" and was advised to ditch the 6" BP and get a 5" BP.



So, should I stick with the 6" BP and get some 6.5" CCS foam pads and 6.25" MF pads, or should I go with the 5" BP and use FLAT pads instead of CCS, or should I down size to 3.5" BP and get some 4" CCS foam pads? Maybe a mix or 6.5" and 4" CCS? Is there a difference in cutting between CCS and FLAT yellow and orange pads? :noidea:



FWIW I'll be using Opti compound II, polish II and opti finish. I may also get some Megs 105 and 205, still unsure about that too....LOL :confused:

EDIT: Think I just found my answer, found the poll between FLAT and CCS LC pads and FLAT got 74% of the votes.

If the Opti MF pads are out of stock, go for the Meguiar's MF pads. Third choice would be the CG Hex-logic pads in 4" and 5.5".
 
Most recommend the flat pads rather than CCS and 5.5" rather than 6.5". There are many suppliers of the Optimum MF pads--someone should have them in stock just Google them. I know for one ADS has them in stock--Rick is a great guy and will help you out if you have questions.
