Other hobbies

Many of the people on here are simply detailing enthusiasts so that's why I chose the title "other hobbies". What do you do in your free time when you aren't detailing? I'm beginning to get back into freshwater fishing. What about the rest of you autopians?

I like dabbling in LED things. Heres a set of a custom LED 3rd brake light I made last year. Working on LED tails now :)

I'm into working out, running, photography, hockey, and drumming. All expensive :(...

I hear ya. All my hobbies with the exception of fishing are pretty expensive. Photography, just getting into it and I'm already $1200 in and barely breaking the surface of what I'd like to have.

Used to play paintball but at $150 in paint plus entry for tournaments I'm no longer into it. I am gonna start taking pics at the tournaments and selling cds with pics on em for $5-$10 for hi res pics. I know a lot of teams will be into this and I can get a ride there with a buddy of mine who still plays.

Haha, oh yea. Photography is the worst. I used to be into bass fishing, but just don't have the time anymore. Never got into paintball for the $$ issue though. I mean yea it's fun, and I've done it a couple times renting equipment and stuff, no tourney's, but the paint is so expensive and the cost to play.

i like running, swimming (gym), going to shows (music), etc, etc,...

Running is so nice. I just got back into it, did a marathon about a month ago. Once you get into it for awhile, it's so relaxing and you feel so good. Swimming, though, not for me. It's so hard lol.

yeah, the burn while running hurts, but it's a good burn and when you take a shower afterwards and relax, it feels awesome. i think swimming has helped me run with longer longevity as you control your breathing in both running and swimming. i've been learning the proper swimming techniques and can do the flip at each end of the pool pretty consistenly. whenever i go to the gym, i do at least twenty laps, but four continously back to back for right now as i'm trying to open my lungs to longer breathing (it's hard). hopefully, one day i can run a marathon (good for you :xyxthumbs ), but i would have no one to do it with as all my friends are lazy LOL...

Yea. Well I don't even feel a burn while running anymore lol. At least not until I get about ~8 miles. Now a 4 mile run is like a warm-up haha. I'm sure that'll go away as soon as I slack off though... But yea I did swim team a couple times as a kid so I know the technique, it's just so physically demanding. Great exercise, no doubt, I'm just a sissy :D. Yea I somehow (miraculously) convinced my girlfriend to run it with me. You shoulda seen the glare she gave me around mile 16 lol

that's really sweet-you make the tail lights and the housing or just an LED board with the hook up?

my "other" job: Custom Car Emblems from third_shift|studios

I alter the housing so the diffusing lens, if used, doesn't diffuse too much light. Everyone likes seeing individual LEDs after all :)

Pretty much I make a board fit exactly in the shape of the tail light. Then after soldering all the components on to power/regulate it, I make a base so its a plug and play. Just think of it as a super crazy plug and play type thing and thats what I do :xyxthumbs
