OTC products for an Acura

My close friend bought an Acura a few months ago and took advantage of the "free" car washed provided by the dealer.



Lets just say his black car looks like swirl city. He bought the Meguiars 1-2-3 Step process (polish, paint cleaner, and wax). He said it improved the shine but did not get rid of the swirls.



If I use a PC on his carwith the Meguiars polish, will that remove most of the swirls? Or do I have to get some thing more agressive?

The Meguiars Deep Crystal 123 Step doesn't have any abrasive qualities. You are going to have a to use an abrasive compound to get rid of the swirls. If you'd like to stay with Meguiars then go with Meguiars 83 and Meguiars 80; however, these are not available over the counter.

I think a lot of people get into this with the old Megs 1-3 system. If it must be OTC, I think you should try Scratch X. You might be able to still use it by machine and it will get rid of a lot of swirls.
