OTC Cleaning QD

Are there any QD's available locally that excel at cleaning and dusting, kinda like Spray and Wipe? I use FX Spray wax for the gloss and extra protection, but I have no idea which of the rest of the store-bought QD's would be right for waterless washing (just mild dust) and generally cleaning. TIA

why didnt my post go thru.

anyways, ill post again.

eagle one wipe and shine

or

meguiars quik detailer.

both have good cleanign abilities and awesome lubricity. shine on the other hand speaks for personal preference.

Eagle One has there own washless product but i havn't used it because i have some s & w from poorboys. i used some on my neighbor car the other day and you would have thought i spent the hole washing it.

Joyride we both must have been replying at the same time and almost the same answer. odd isn't it

I am not sure about it's cleaning abilities, but one of my favorite OTC QD's is Mother's Showtime. I wouldn't try to use it as a waterless wash if that was your goal.

greatminds think a like. or is it dumbminds?

I haven't tried it, but I saw a George Foreman "Knock-Out" spray wash/polish thingie. I saw it at Target, I believe. I think it was under $10.00.

I've used NAPA's waterless wash/wax. Not too bad, but I haven't tried it on a "flawless car" to see how much damage it may cause. It's kerosene "based," so in at least that regard it's similar to the Dri-Wash n Guard stuff.

With any waterless wash/qd, though, I find a lot has to do with the quality of the towel you use. I always try to use the thickest/plushest towels I can when I work on less-than-freshly-cleaned paint.

Do you mean their Bucketless Wash? You still need to rinse it, you just don't need to put soap in a bucket of water. It's like Mothers' now discontinued Trigger Wash.

Try out Mothers Showtime. I use both the Showtime and the FX Spray Wax, depending on what I want to accomplish.

Megs #34 is pretty good in that regard, I've got a couple of gallons of it because it's just that awesome (and it was on sale). It's not exactly OTC but if you can find a distributor in your area (most NAPAs, Ace Hardware stores, other places) it's a great product.

WOW!! thanks everyone for your input! I tried the Showtime, and although I liked it, I found it kinda oily and it smeared a bit on me. I think I'll look for the EO wipe and shine and #34, and if I can't find either I'll go with the Meg's Quik Detailer.
