I'm gonna start off saying this car was SOFT like paint so soft I wish it was typical Jet black bmw paint. Strange as I'd never seen one of these cars this soft in this color. I felt like I was at war trying not mar this car with towels and was so happy when it was done. Hope you like it!

buffer halo's, bird etchings, and water spots OH MY!!! I think I would prefer lions, tiger, and bears.

If you don't have the bent wheel woolie GET ONE!!! These things are so awesome for cleaning behind spokes. After cleaning the wheels I washed, Iron-x, speedy prepped the car to get ready for polishing.

A test spot with BF SRC Compound showed great correction and that I had scratched the paint bad removing it. I really expected this paint to be hard and was really not happy when I saw it was soft.

So knowing the car was soft I laid out my plan of attack to be BF SRC finishing on a rotary with an Orange pad, followed by BF SRC finishing on a white pad with flex3401(rupes did not like this car) then with out removing the left over residue from the polishing step I black Iced right over the top of with 3' gg D/A and after letting it sit for an hour I took my flex back out and primed a pad with BFWD and applied that right on top of the BI. Then I took that off with a new MF finishing disc misted with BF poly spray on the flex. Strange right? Well it worked and I didn't pull my hair out trying not to scratch the car.

Thanks guys and it really wasn't that bad for steps. 2 polishing steps, and 2 waxing steps. No different than doing 2 coats of bfwd except I took the wax off with a DA.

Bookmarked.

How the heck did the MF finishing disc not marr the paint????????

Speed 1 and no pressure with poly spray. BFWD comes off really easy. There were a cpl places it streaked a little(maybe to much poly overload?) But a little distilled water and and another MF pad and some super light touches with cobra towels and I got it all.
