This black Acura NSX was seating on a garage for 18 years collecting dust and owner set boxes on top of the car as well. customer wanted to re paint the car, but he thought he should gave us a try to restore the paint. honestly this paint was in a horrible condition that i promised to restore the paint but it might be just 80% perfect. we worked on the car for 3 full days, and we got it to 95% perfection because some scratches were too deep.

Washed 2x2 method with citrus wash
Decon with Iron-x and wolfs poly clay fine grade
Correction was done all with Dewalt 849x Orange, white, red CCS pads and some 3' Megs cutting and polishing pads. FG400, BF SRC compound, BF src finishing.
waxed with BF Wet Diamond

WOWWWW! Looks like you saved him from a paint job! Any idea how many miles are on it? I bet he'll get offers left and right for that car now that it's received the Hugo whiplash treatment.

NXS has 19k miles on it. Same customer has another grey NXS with 20k on it.
 
Holy @#$@!!! That looks like a different car! Or the same car that has a new paint job. The afters show a deep, rich and very dark black especially when you compare it to the before pics.

What did the owner say when he picked it up?

AMAZING work as always! I'm always amazed at your after pictures..

yeah it looks like a different car. customer was amazed by the work was done on his car.
he actually called me the next day to thank us for the great work we did.

i am thankful Jsmooth (joe tobarti) carried me under his wing and teach me everything i know, and i still learning from him. He had being good to me and every time i come help him to his shop i learn something new.
He is the man!
 
I referred this customer FYI. I know of Orinda's work by reputation and postings on this board.

I also did my own NSX correction of my 11k mile black barn find (sort of post pics on here but not very complete) and knew what a transformation it would go through in the right hands. And as always...i was right :)
