Orinda Auto Detail - 2015 Porsche Cayman S Opti Coat Pro Plus

Orinda Auto Detail

Opti Coat Pro Certified
On this beautiful Porsche Cayman S with only 52 miles on it, we did a full service detail, paint correction, Opti-Coat Pro application, full xpel kit, and re opti coat full xpel. For a car that many buyers plan on keeping for years to come. Opti Coat Pro provides a protective layer 2 microns thick. That’s about 100x thicker than any wax or sealant on the market. The owner wanted to protect his investments. I pre-rinsed and decontaminated with Iron-X to remove all embedded particles, then I washed with the 2 bucket method and then finally began the claying process, these precautions were taken to make sure nothing was left in the paint before beginning correction. we did 2 step paint correction with Black Fire coumpound and finishing polish.

here is how it came out from the dealer.

some nasty scratches even though it only had 52 miles on it.

after we did our paint correction, and OCP we started doing the PPF

here we were done with the xpel, its time to coat the xpel with OCP

its time for OCP

after applying OCP and before we wiped it out.

we also coated the wheel barrels calipers and wheel faces.

coated the door jambs.

here are some final pic.

Thanks for taking a moment to check out this quick little write up.

Wow! Impressive as always!

Raises the question though. OCP, then xpel, then another layer of OCP?! At what point is it overkill on the protection???

At some point all films weather and need to be removed. Seems this guy will be good to go after that. To me it make sense to do if your looking for total protection. Saves a trip back later. I just wonder what the bill was for the process decon, polish, ocp, xpel, polish ocp. Yikes
