orbital buffer to apply compound ?

would it work or no ? I have a 10 inch orbital buffer now and we have a 7 inch one on sale at canadian tire! i think the 7 inch one have a bit less osscilatory movement! and i really need to buff my car theres a ton of swirls on it (well for me) and i dont own a buffer or a pc cause im a bit too poor for this!

if it doesnt work do any tool rental place rent buffers ?(normally)

An orbital buffer IMO is not strong enough to break down compounds they need heat and the orbital will not generate enough for that......If you are looking to remove swrils I would use a good swril remover that will work with a orbital better.....I do believe that Poorboys has a supplier up your way and his SSR lineup will do the job.
