Optimum products

I'm going to give the Optimum products a go during the summer, since I want to try something new. I already have OS, and ONR which are both outstanding products, and I might as well try the wax, OID, and carwash. I plan to buy the carwash, Poli Seal, car wax, OID, and possible the tire bond.

If I stared the optimum process... does this sound right?

-Poli seal

-OCW

-OS

Also hows the car wash and interior products from optimum? Thanks again guys.

Typically you would apply OS after Poli-Seal and then the OCW. Waxes do best over sealants. However, I have seen some do it in the order you have posted without problems when using OS. It may be less picky then most sealants. Other then that, your process looks great.

Oh one more question.. is there a cure time between poli seal, OS, OCW? If not I can apply all 3 in the same day?

I have applied product right after PoliSeal but would suggest you wait 24 hours between OS and any other product.

OS to me is a terrific product. I use it as a quick topper and it improves the appearance of grained vinyl while providing a protective coat. You use so little also.

No doubt it looks good, but I don't like to wait till I can put on a final LSP. For example.. I use Z-AIO, and I can already top it off with a Z-5 or Z-CS without waiting.

Maybe I should request for a sample FIRST, before buying to see if I'll like it.

I am a fan of OS as well as ZCS, as I know you are. The differences between the recommended applications seem to be philosophical differences between the companies. The Zaino folks seem to favor the use of ZCS to "lock in" the Z2 or ZAIO underneath. The OPT folks, on the other hand, favor the use of OS and its heavy concentration of polymers as the base (or over PS, which cleans and polishes, but not a tremendous amount of protection.) The OPT philosophy seems to make more sense to me. Of course, that is then followed up with periodic application of OCW (and now, OID!) Z does not have a competing product to OCW. I know, I know, Z8, but durability is not there and the cost is quite high. As to wait time for OS over PS, I have done it both ways. When OS is applied shortly after PS, there is some smearing and streaking, however this disappears without wiping after final cure and the result is great. Very smooth. Having said that, its probably best to let The PS cure at least 12 hours before applying OS if you have the time. Leave it at that until the next wash, then apply OCW. Takes about 10 minutes. This combo looks great and lasts a long time. Add in OID whenever you feel like it! Good luck!
