Optimum polish with PC - first go.

I have my Dad's 9-year old Renault Megane for 2 weeks while he's away on holiday, so I thought I'd give Optimum a go as his paint is pretty bad, never been polished or waxed EVER! (should have put it in the extreme detail this month!). I had to clay the roof and bonnet a couple of times as it was covered in black spots and the paint was very flat indeed, not a hint of shine anywhere.

Still being tentative (and new to the PC), I tried the Optimum with a Megs polishing pad (it really needs an orange cutting pad) on one half of the roof to see what happened, speed 5 on the PC, after one pass the difference was very noticeable!

Still a long way to go, next time I'm going to use an orange pad, but initial results were pretty good considering the paint hasn't been touched in 9 years - there was green moss growing in the roof rails and the window seals!!!

The interior is almost as bad as the exterior too!

Wont he be surprised when he gets home from Holiday !! I really need to try the Optimum polish someday.

Optimum is the go to polish these days...I absolutely love it. I can't wait to try the compound they came out with that's on it's way :)..

Orange pad? I'd go with Meguiars burgandy cutting pad, works very well with the Optimum polish and compound. Switch to the polish and the polishing pad you are ready for your LSP. :)
