Optimum Poli Seal - a few very specific questions

I've got a few specific questions about poli seal / OPS, and yes I know how to use the search feature so please don't limit your replies telling me to just do that. I've scanned many many posts on OPS!

First - What have your experiences been using OPS as a wheel wax? (by hand) I use NXT as a wheel wax but I am running out and probably will buy some poli seal. I want to get some protection/slickness onto my wheels and have some extra cleaning ability for the gunk washing did not remove.

Secondly - If I were to use poli seal by hand for general clearcoat paint, does this essentially turn it into nothing more than a cleaner wax? i.e., no correction but decent cleaning, filling, and protection? Also - since poli seal has some abrasives, how often can I safely use this?

Regards

It has a sealant and wax in the formula. The nuba is prolly gone as soon as they heat up, the sealant is what would last. If you follow up with Optiseal as is my procedure, you'll be very pleased. It should last much longer than NXT.

I've never used it by hand except for edging and I would think that you'd get NO correction by hand, only filling. I say this because the corrective properties are limited with an AIO. You can mix in some Optimum Polish if you need a little more bite. No worries about it wearing away your paint, you could do it monthly if you like with no adverse effects. I see 3-4 months durability from applying it with DA/Rotary.

BTW: Optimum Forums have a "Ask Dr G" section where you can ask the company owner/developer direct product usage questions. You can't get any better than going to the source.

It works great on painted wheels. Lightly cleans and lasts quite a while.

What Integrity said is correct, it is a 'nuba/sealant hybrid.

Dr. G is easy to talk to and gives straight answers. PoliSeal by hand will have virtually no cut, but will be a great cleaner wax. It DOES have 1/2 the cut of Opt. Polish when used by machine; so you will have NO worries when using by hand.

I also get around 3mos. durability when applied via PC.

I love it all around; as well as OptiSeal.
