Optimum Hyper Compound v. Meguiars #83

I need to polish out some isolated scratches and swirls on soft Ford paint.

Which one of these products is more abrasive?

I'll be using a PC.

I used the hyper compound today with my rotary and a small 3 or 4 inch (cant remember size sorry) LC purple wool pad to buff out 2000 3M wet sand paper grit marks. It buffed them out wonderfully with about 1700 RPM and a minute or minute and half working time. I do not know how it compares to the megs but it is a VERY easy product to work with and only needs 3 pea sized drops on the pad to have a minute or two of working time. I would say the optimum line is the best compound/polishing line I have EVER worked with. The 3M 3000 series rubbing compound that I have is probably more abrasive for sure though. I will try the Optimum with my PC this Sunday when I get home and let you know how it goes.

OHC has like an infinite work time advantage, but either will do the job fine. Neither will leave it LSP ready if it's a dark color so follow up with a polish or glaze.
