Looking for a wax booster that is easy to apply and lasts a decent amount of time i have read alot about AW and OCW and recently purchased Eagle One Nano spray wax, I was not impressed with EO but the ease of application would be great after washes.

I know OCW is more expensive than AW but when taking everything into account which one would youu choose and why?

TIA

ocw all the way . great stuff easy to apply and they say it last 5 months .but i would say maybe less then that even if it last 1 month it's so easy to put on another coat

Good question, and one I had myself. Thus my recent purchase of DG's AW to see for myself. When we finally get out of this winter weather pattern, I'll be able to tell if I can tell a difference and develop a preference.

I do know from current experience OCW is extremely easy to use and presents an OK appearance. I agree that 5 months as a stand-alone LSP is pretty optimistic. But then again, application is so simple...that even a caveman can do it  (OK apologies to cavemen and GEICO).

Thanks to my local CarQuest - all DG products are close by and cheap. I'm in the process of replacing other brands with DG as they run out. I was a little skeptical of AW - could it be as good as folks on these forums said? YES! and smells great too. Haven't used Optimum - probably won't as my R&D budget is shot!

I have both and would go with AW. OCW I like but if you have a nice looking wax like Natty's Blue, Souveran etc, and put OCW over it, it kinda takes away fromthe look. AW on the otherhand adds depth, wettness and reflection. OCW is more better for if you have layers of sealant and want something to top it once a month or whatever (never tested how long OCW will last). One color OCW excells on is silver, really makes the flake pop and gives a nice look.

Hmmmm....I need to take the opportunity (again, when this weather pattern breaks) and re-evaluate the look on the Wife's VW Reflex Silver (lot's of flake). From memory that was the paint that caused me to refer to the look as OK.

Can you put OCW on while car is wet? I use AW and it's a snap to use on my regular customers when I am drying the car. If OCW is as easy then I'd like to try it out as I've been pleased with other Optimum products.

I dont like using either while the car is wet. I mean its ok, but your diluting the product, thus minimizing its ability/durability.

Right now, I'm using AW and I felt the same way about using it when the car was wet. It isn't a problem to use on a dry vehicle so that's how I use it.

Plus it seems to clog up the micro fibers in my WW towels making them not perform 100%. I only have OCW as a spray wax and I love it. It looks great on sliver.

Kind of off topic, but do you use WW towels for wax removal? I only use my WW towels for drying and for windows,

Charles

No but I tried using OCW and Eagle One wax as you dry during my drying process with WW towels and after that the towels weren't as absorbant, even after a few washes. I find it easier and beneficial to dry the car and then use a spray wax with a normal MF towel.

I have to vote for AW but to be honest I have not used OCW. I have to say I am heading in the same direction as JuneBug. More DG products saves me some cash for other toys or better beer.

Bags, another DG convert, great products, get em at CarQuest, cheap! Best kept secret I know. Yeah, I'd rather get Corona too!

AW works best on a dry surface..gives the best results....1 squirt per panel is all you need... have used both OCW and AW..OCW is a nice product but did not fair good in the North East weather...the acid rain or the salt killed it fast...

AW stands up good with salt and rain...using a pay and spray wash during the winter the salt just rinses off nicely with just using rinse water..and paint looks clean..and beads great...

best to try both and make your decision....products work different in different areas...

This is my first winter using Duragloss products.. I put 105 on my Ranger last July and 8 months later it looks like it did in July.
We had a blizzard this week and we are just getting dug out and the roads have a ton of salt on them but I find the AW works really well and like AL said it will spray off the surface is very slick after using AW.
I have 105 on 3 other vehicles plus my show car and I'm really impressed with the depth and gloss and durability of the DG products.
The fact that I can buy a gallon of AW for what a competitor gets for 8 ounces of a similar product even makes it better.
