Optimum as a FINISHING polish? (i.e. WHITE LC CCS PAD?)

Hey guys,

Like the title states, how effective is Optimum polish as just a finishing polish? I have used SSR2.5 on a car, and I'd like to remove some minor marring and small thin lines.

I realize that Optimum is a versatile polish and i'd like to use that on a white LC CCS pad, will that enable it to finish to a nice shine of depth and gloss?

The finish of the car is BLACK and it's a metallic paint. I don't have 106ff because I would assume that would be better (although it's used with a black LC pad which I can't figure out how it corrects).

Anyways, your thoughts? is it too aggressive to use it or should I up or down the pad or dosage of polish?

You will love the results of the Optimum. I use the 106ff on a white and the Optimum on a white as well.

Same here, when I don't use 106f, OP is my go-to for finishing on rotary.

I usually use it with a blue or white edge2000 pad, just be sure to work it in for a long long time.

OP has more cut than OPS does. Although I've used OPS on an orange CCS pad as a one step and it worked out pretty nice.

You get filling with OP? I guess on Jet Black non-metallic paints you might get some sort.

As opposed to stating my personal findings, I would recommend you do a alcohol or prep sol wipedown with EVERY polish and come to your own conclusions.
