Optimum and IP/FPII with 4" Spot Pads

My willpower has collapsed again and I've ordered some SFX spot pads from Autopia :grinno:

From what I've read the 4" pads develop more concentrated heat. If this is correct, the working times of the polish would be reduced? (in the case of OCP to about 3-4 hours :LOLOL )

I plan to do a whole car (small hatchback) with them - any tips for using 4" pads with the above polishes and the PC.

EDIT: I would use EITHER IP/FP or OCP

Thanks in advance, Peter

i don't think you need to follow OCP w/ IP. IP i find more aggressive than OCP. OCP + FP2 gets nice results. IP + FP2 even better :)

I was removing some spot scratches from a friends car on Sat with my PC, SSR 2.5 on the SFX Spot cutting pads at the weekend, and was suprised how hot the paint got.
