Opti-Seal

So true. I can tell you in my testing in Conn. ZCS definately lasts months longer.

Zaino`s nearly twice the price of OS in the UK and is definately not worth the difference.

I found different. I found that both were very similar.

OS will take me thru a Pacific Northwest Winter easily. Though I wash with ONR which some believe may add to OS.

Scottwax believes so and he has a good reputation as far as I'm concerned.

Slightly off topic, but Good Heavens is OS neat! I ended up putting three coats on today. Ridiculous shine. I'm garaged at night, but park in full sun during the day at work. Weekly 1Z Perls wash. I will be able to tell how it's doing pretty quickly.

I've never been impressed with OS's durability. I've been able to get a month or two out of it, but nothing more than that...

This debate will go on for years ( ZCS/OS ). For me ZCS has more durability.

Looks are a matter of preferance. I also think views are skewed because of who gets what for free or who doesn't like a particular person or company. I BUY and try everything and form my own conclusion on my particular needs not on volume. I have all the optimum products some I like some I don't. I would also try a product called SWAX. Not sure about durability yet but man does it look fantastic it's like a carnuba sealant. I imagine for more durability I could just top with ZCS.

I also think Z8 is just as easy as the 2 wowa products . Z8 has no rivals IMO for looks and durability. I also have tried using Z8 as I would ONR and its working out quite well

of course an expensive variation but results are very impressive.

I've used both.

Looks is similar; Zaino is cleaner/crisper/brighter; OS is a little darker/slicker on darker colors.

Durability...Zaino gets the nod by a bit.

I try to give you the benefit of the doubt but your posts sure sound like Zaino ads most of the time. :nixweiss This thread wasn't about Z-CS vs Opti-Seal either, the OP had a simple question about OS but you turned it into a comparison thread that seems like you are pushing the Zaino version.

I have no dog in this hunt, I use what gives me the best combination of cost, durability and price. And yes, I do use some Zaino products like AIO and Z5. I got some Z-CS for free (full bottle, shipped directly from Zaino) so don't you think if I honestly believed it was a better product than OS, I'd be using it? Why use something that costs me money and doesn't work as well as a free product, right?

Side by side by side on the same car, I could tell no difference in durability on a soccer mom abused 740 between OS, ZCS and UPGP. At 3 months when the car was traded in, all three were beading fine (not one I typically use ONR on either).

Z8 has about 3-4 weeks of durability for me, which seems a typical result. Are you really saying that Z8 is the most durable product in the Zaino line? Or just compared to other spray sealant type products?

Well, I don't get anything for free, and I like OS. I don't get incredible durability out of it; on customer cars I'll usually see 12-16 weeks. For me that is plenty considering the time that goes into applying it and the amount used. I got similar durability out of ZCS, but prefer the look of OS.

OS is cheap, easy to apply & looks great - with all that, even if it only lasted a month, it would be a great product. As it is I'm still beading like a champ after 14 weeks of a North East England winter.

I agree it does last longer but looks no where as good as OS. I have re-fallen in love with OS. I can do my whole car in about 5 minutes and it lasts at least 3 months. But I apply every time that I was so who cares!

sounds good - I do think OS is the best of the 3 wowa products by a whisker from UPGP, but I have never tested it to destruction. The fact that a fresh layer can be done in 5 mins on a typical car makes that almost irrelevant.

I had 3 layers on my garage queen from early spring to autumn with no noticeable drop in the look or beading etc, but thats hardly a durability test IMHO...

I really like Opti-seal, especially on white and earth tone colors . Although I think Im using to much, as I have gone thru a bottle in about 2 months. YIKES! What can I say, I like to make sure I hit every square inch and then some..........LOL....
