AG has just listed OS on BOGO today. It probably won't last long. Are we going to be seeing a new version soon??

It looks very much like a sealant. I always tell those who seem a little apprehensive to try Opti Seal first. It applies and looks very similar to Opti Coat but with a shorter commitment. There will be a updated version of Opti Seal available within a week or so, too!
If you like a Nuba look, just use something like OCW to top and it won't matter that it only last a few weeks because it only took 10 minutes to apply.
I get a few complaints about the feel, but nothing really feels like wax...because it wax! Opti Coat feels like squeaky clean polished paint to me. Which is fine because I don't want anyone running their fingers over my paint anyway.
Off-topic, but this seems to have gotten overlooked - what's new with the updated version of Opti-Seal, Chris? Better durability (from some strange alchemy of Opti-Coat and Opti-Seal)? Beading, sheeting and dirt-repelling similar to Opti-Coat? Both? I'd really love an Opti-Coat-lite - would be great for someone who isn't quite ready to coat the entire car, but wanted the water- and dirt-interaction characteristics of OC![]()
We are seeing more gloss and longevity...not to the point of a year, but a noticeable improvement over the current formula. The gloss level looks like you've layered it.
Yes we are - Chris from Optimum posted that they'd be releasing a new version of Opti-Seal soon. It was in one of his replies to a question on Corey's review thread on Opti-Coat and CQuartz, and kind of got passed over by most of the forum members.
Found it - here's the initial post:
I then asked a clarification about what had changed with the product:
To which he replied:
It's good to see Optimum constantly improving their products - a better looking and more durable Opti-Seal sounds like a winner, in my book.
Our boy Nick over at AG already has a semi review on it.
How do we discern the old from the new?
How do we discern the old from the new?
Probably by price.
