I have to admit, I have never big the biggest fan of Oprah Winfrey. I just figured that her show was ladies only and that I couldn't get into her show.

Sure, I have respected her as I know that she is very generous and does alot of good things with all of her billions but yesterday's show won me over BIG TIME! SIMPLY AMAZING!

She gave everyone in the audience a brand new car!!!

:bigups to Oprah!

Yup! Actually one of the show cars was detailed by someone over @ Autopia :D Good news good stuff :bigups

She's kinda the "Dwayne" of daytime talk tv. I have found her shows to be interesting, informative & without foul language.

And yes, giving away 276 cars to "deserving" people, doesn't hurt her status in my book! Although, not to detract from her, I heard today that the cars were donated by GM. So I guess I have to give a :bigups to GM too!

Wonder when she'll do a show on detailiing! She could feature the DC "family" - Oh, wait, that would be more like a Dr. Phil's family episode!

READ between the lines GM wanted to promote a new car and they went to OPRAH she paid nothing GM paid 7.7 million dollars just used her show for promotion which worked out very well for her.The thing that I am impressed with is they also paid the taxes

Pontiac/GM gave the cars away and is paying for taxes, fees and custimizations on the cars. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. I do think Oprah is generous, for paying for the homeless girls college. She is also an inspiration to people, becuase of what she overcame to obtain what she has now.

Comments deleted.

By the way TurbomanGT detailed the G6 which was used for the show. Maybe he could score her fleet and the Gulfstream.

Oprah also does many great things for many people using her own money. Yesterday, Sept. 14, 2004 she interviewed Lori Hacking's mother on the show and donated $50,000 of her own money to a scholarship fund in care of Lori Hacking at the Univ. of Utah. She has done thousand of charitable things for people all over the world.

I am not saying Oprah doesn't do good thing she does I was just commenting that she did not pay for the 276 cars GM did.Look what she does around the world unbelieveable

Pontiac needs all the help they can get with their ugly lineup. LOL ;)

I wouldn't go that far. Pontiac gets a bad rap, but there are a lot of ugly cars out there. I'll take the styling of my 98 Grand Prix over a lot of curent cars.

I don't know. I just think that anyone that pays designers to come up with things like the Aztec needs some help.

;) Just messing with you man.

All of the audience members were there becuase someone wrote in or nominated them as being in need of a new car - it was not a random give away like her favorite things show.

Agreed.
Though the Solitice and GTO are nice looking cars.

Groebeck,
I did not know that the people who received cars were choosen.

Yep, I heard that after all the big hoopla about the give-away, there was a teeny blurb about how these were "deserving" people. I just hope they keep them shiny!!

Maybe Dwayne could do a "product" give-away to them? J/K

Or better yet, get 4* on one of Oprah's "Favourite Things" shows!!

Let's spread the madness!!!

Even if it's a Pontiac?

Absolutely! I have owned a 1982 Pontiac Firebird, a 1988 Pontiac Firebird and a 1999 Pontiac Firebird.

These were 3 of my favorite vehicles I have ever owned so Pontiac has been good to me.

The 1982 Firebird helped me in the romance department back when I was 18. Now I don't need a fancy car, I just read the Fuzz's book. :naughty

That must be why you are so smooth with the ladies, is from all the GM F-body cars you owned.

Will PAC be selling the Fuzz's book?

LOL! No, I'm not getting into the book business.

I think he (Fuzz) is trying to get in with places like Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com.

Maybe some of us will meet the Fuzz on his book tour. Maybe the Fuzz could be a guest on Oprah to promote his new book.
