Hello everyone.

Since we all buff with rotaries and DA's here, I thought Id ask everyone what they thought would be the ideal buffing pad.

I've used pads from all over, in several different styles, and I have no preference. They all seem to work well. I'd lean a little towards Meg's, but only because they are immediately identifiable; somtimes I'm looking at a yellow or white pad of reasonable medium softness and wondering, is it polishing, buffing, medium polishing, finishing? With the Meg's yellow is medium, white is light, red is heavy. But, all the types and brands that I've used have worked well.

I'd like to see more options for the Cyclo 4" pads. I really like the Orange Power pads but would prefer a completly flat pad. Also I just ordered a set of the 4' SFX from David I really like these pads in 6" so I think these will be a hit, if they are I'd like to see more 4"pads in this type of foam.

that must be the case because the only ones I've found are those mad by cyclo. Eric thanks for the response , you've got a PM from me.

Eric,

I do have VC Cyclo size pads I ordered directly from LC at the time. I see Autogeek appears to sell them now.

Like Doug, I'm always interested in a new Cyclo pad

I try to work with everyone to help them with what they are looking for. I always have time for customers. Without them, Im crew chief at Mcdonalds. (lol)

Eric,

I was going to PM you but then I realized that everyone could benefit from this question, so I decided to post here instead.

First of all, to answer *your* question, my ideal pad for a DA is a 6.5"-7" flat pad, and I like a variety of textures, ranging from extremely aggressive to extremely mild. My current pads of choice are the Sonus pads (not SFX), but that line could really benefit by a yellow aggressive cutting pad.

My question is, what are the 8 different pads you offer for the cyclo? I've been looking for a really good set of pads but like the others, can only find cyclo brand pads and the only ones I like out of that group are the green ones. The yellows are horrible, which cuts the cyclo out for any compounding work.

Jason,

Since Im not allowed to advertise our products on here without getting busted or booted, all I can say is that I have a pad for every type of compounding, polishing, and finishing, even some heavy cutting.

Eric,

I welcome solid educational information from all manufacturers. If you would like to create an article that includes LCM pad and manufacturing information, I would be happy to publish it for you.

If you invite me out for a plant tour, I will video the tour and publish it on line for all to see and enjoy.

I'll add my input. I'd love to see a pad for the P/C that's a bit of a hybrid between the flat 6.5' pads and the VC 7.5' pads. I love the 7.5' VC pads becuase of the recessed "cup" for the backing plate of the PC and because they do a better job of getting into tight spaces without harm of the machine doing any damage to the paint. But if we could get a pad that had this cup and was flat I'd be down in an instant. I realize that the Sonus pads are similar to what I'm talking about here but when they came out I had already purchased many of the 7.5' pads and didn't want to try the sonus pads becuase it would require using a smaller backing plate and frankly I can't find enough faults with the 7.5' LC pads to switch at this point. a LC pad like this with a cup for a 6' backing plate and a flat face would be awesome though.

I'm interested in the 4" LC pads for the cyclo, but the one's at autogeek cost twice as much as the cyclo pads. Do they last longer, perform better, etc??? I'd need to justify the cost before buying them.

That is the most honest response to a competitors product I've ever read

Im not trying to bash the competition, just mentioning the difference between ours and theirs. No reason in lying, not good business qualities.
