Opinions Wanted: Optimum Hyper Compound and Optimum Compound II

Gotta order some more OC 2.0 today, so I thought I might as well throw in a bottle of polish since ADS has free shipping on orders over a hundred bucks.

I love M105, but I hate the dust. Bad.

Accumulator has mentioned that the new spray version of OHC produces very little dust, but doesn't have the chops of 105. That sounds great, but I kinda like the bite 105 has. Honestly, I prefer the original formula of 105 as it had quite a bit more bite than the new version.

How does Optimum Compound II compare to both OHC and 105 as far as cut? I've heard that OHC has a very long working time, and that you can just keep working the same application until you get the desired level of correction. Is that also the case with OCII? How does the dusting of OCII compare to 105?

Overall, is it possible to get the same great DA results with OHC or OCII as you can with 105, or are they more suited for rotary work?

Any general thoughts regarding these two compounds would be greatly appreciated.

TIA!

I have limited use with OHC and the newest OCII, but I can say they are easier to work with, have longer working time, and little to no dust. I actually like the new OCII a little better than the OHC. The cut is a little short compared to M105, but still pretty good IMO.

I really like their Spray Compound. I've turned a few body shops on to actually and they also rave about it too. Works pretty good via DA/MF pads too.

Thanks, guys. Think I'll pick up a bottle of each for grins.

I've read that Optimum is reformulating OHC in conjunction with the release of their MF pads - might be worth waiting until after SEMA before buying.
