I purchased Meg's Deep Crystal Steps 1 Paint Cleaner and Step 2 Polish. Opinions wanted. I have a 06 Civic purchased end of April. Paint never waxed or sealed since purchased. Some spiderwebbing but no scratches, although 2 tiny marks that looks like my girlfriend rub up against something. I'll more than likely use Klasse SG and then either S100 or Natty's.

Are you doing this by hand or using a buffer?

I love the paint cleanser, I use it all the time. It works well when you dont want to waste clay. It's not an alternative but it's definitely a good product and has its place in my shop

If you're going to use SG I would suggest you also use AIO once you've polished it to your satisfaction. Nothing makes any better base for SG than AIO.

Are u be sarcastic?LOL or serious

I think he is serious.
It should be a nice combination. A decent cleaner, a decent polish, and a very good carnauba wax. Sounds like a winner to me.

I was serious :p

DC2 is a really nice polish, it usually makes the finish look a little wetter. you can always try it on a small section before you do the whole car.

Random fact: DC2 smells above average but DC1 smells pretty bad.

guys,

I just got my PC and edge pads (came last night), anyway at this time I have got Mequiar's PC steps 1 and 2 and NXT.

My truck is a year old black CHevy 2500 P/U crew. Outside 24/7 and been waxed a couple of times but no major detailing on the finish. As I was a novice the black paint has all kinds of swirls and spider webs. will the above combination be adequate or should I go to a PB or other product.

TIA,

Steve

If you are going with NXT then you need to get Meg's # 21 sealant last longer and is better. Also you need to get some # 62 Meg's wash it is more gentle than gold class or NXT wash yet cleans well it leaves the finish better.

Those Meg's products are all non-abrasive and won't do much for more than minor spiderwebbing. Don't get me wrong, they make for an excellent low cost/high value combo, but heavy defect correction isn't their strong point.
