Been a looooooong time since I posted pics of a detail :) - but trust me I peek in here once and a while to keep and eye on you folks - (CLEAN DEAN where arte thou?? - GSR - dude you work toooo much! - big ups to the woob and zymol my NC buthas)

anyhooo (oh yah - HIYA PB, Fuzz and D-wayne!)

I spent a couple hours last weekend and this weekend detailing and decided to post the resutls (mixing in one new product review too!) -

Last weekend I washed then applied Vanilla Moose via PC at 6 to take care of some small issues. Then I applied a layer of EX-P via PC @ 3. The VM really deepened the color without muting the sparkle in my metallic. The EX-P/VM combo made me fall in loooove! - Sooooo wet and deep looking with all my sparkle in tact!

This weekend after a couple days of rain - I went over the Car with Poorboy's Spray and Wipe then applied a layer of Natty's by hand (thanks to my Poorboy's lifetime applicator - I Love those things!)

The Natty's glided on - so much so that I put it on too thick thinking I was just not getting any coverage! - The EX-P/VM combo was that slick :) - I did half the car and gave my wrist a rest. I let it sit for about 15 minutes and then started to remove the Natty's Yup to thick! It was not hard getting it off but more residue than I should be seeing so once I was done with one side I put on half as much and just trusted my "gliding" sense. one half hour later (I was pretty meticulous :) ) - I let it sit for another 15 minutes and this time it came off like buttah ! No residue. Once the Waxing was done I attended to the wheels and then deciced to finish the whole thing off with the last bit of my Mother's Showtime spray to get chase away any residue I may have left behind.

The results are below - deep rich and wet are all I can say and the sparkle of the metallics - well that speaks for itself!

(on to my mini review -)

On the tires last week I used Meguiars NxT Insane Shine Tire Spray. THis is an areosol can this is supposed to give the tires a high gloss shine. That is does. The spray comes out in a fan pattern so you can easily coat the tires and direct the spray not to get on your wheels. Going on it is indeed ultra glossy and wet looking. The smell is quite pleasant as well (not like Nxt Tech Wax - ugh!). You don't have to spray much to get the tires looking wet. Not just looking wet, they are wet. The spray is thick. I let the car sit for an hour and they still looked wet wet..and were wet. I used an old MF and went over the tires to see if I just had too much product on them. They were sticky. It grabbed at the MF but it did not matte the shine as I wiped so I assumed they were drying and I would still have that deep wet look. Neither turned out to be true. I let the car sit overnight and in the garage the next day sure enough they still looked glossy and wet. I drove to work (which is all of about 5 miles but there is a lot of contruction). When I got out of the car, they were no longer wet looking. They seemed to have grabbed every bit of dust and sucked it on to that glossy finish. They still looked dark and rich but now they were dull as well. I'm not sure what's in the NxT but it appears to me to be no better than the spray on silicone stuff and at $6.50 a can - I think I will pass on it in the future and stick to Poorboy's Natural look for the tires!

any hoo - here are the pics - enjoy!
