Strangest thing happened to me this weekend. Got up early backed the car out and proceeded to ONR clean like I've done a zillion times before. All went well as usual. Pulled it back in the garage and did a few honey-dos that took about an hour. I decided to put down a coat of Z8 on the car for a little bling, like I've done a zillion times before. Started on the hood and thought it felt a little grabby using Zaino's new microfiber towels which I have used several times. Anyway, all the horizontal surfaces felt grabby and I was leaving some fibers on the paint. But when I got to the sides of the car, it literally started gumming up, leaving fibers everywhere and even little white specs where I was rubbing. I tried several different towels...same thing. I switched to Z6...same thing. What the hell!!!!
I finally just stopped, shook my head and went back inside. Any ideas what might have happened?
The car has a couple of coats of Z2 on it topped with Blackfires Midnight Sun nuba. Last weekend I did a conventional wash with Z-soap and topped it with Z8 no problems at all. Any clues?
