OneStep?

With my personal cars I always use a dedicated polish or wax, but I'm a lot pickier than the general public. Do you guys ever try to use a one step product on your customers paint? If so, what kind? Can a PC and a one-step do the job?

Auto Magic BC-2 polish. It's very versatile and flexible. Use it with a wool pad, foam pad, orbital and/or by hand. Very low chance of swirls. I've done 1000's of dark colored cars by just 1-stepping it with a wool pad. "Virtually no swirls". Perfect for dealership/high volume conditions. I also use it on my personal vehicles. Cheap too - under $25 for a gallon. Good Luck.

I'm considering purchasing a gallon of Megs Quick Detailer #66. It is their most aggressive cleaner/wax so I think it would be perfect for a one-step job.

i use #66 as my one step for customers....awesome cleaning power for a one step and the shine left behind is pretty good as well....topped with a spray wax and its a solid combo....it wont take out a lot of swirls, but it does remove minor stuff

I have also been using #66 with great results

I love to use it after swirl removal, as it cleans up any marring left :waxing:

Klasse AIO is great to use after claybarring to really make the paint glow, but it won't remove any swirlmarks since it has no abrasives.

#66 is my favorite currently :2thumbs:

I use a on stepper on a lot of the cheap-o detail jobs that I do. The ones where the people just want their ride to look better then when it came in or if they are trying to sell it and just want a cheap job done. I usually use one of the following:

Four Star Professional Cleaner Wax

Poorboy's Polish with Carnuaba

I dont know if anyone else would consider this a one-step but I like using the Cyclo Cleaner/Deoxidizer. On oxidation or just paint that needs a deep cleaning this stuff really works great IMO.

I knew a detailer that used BC2 on dealer cars and it would take care of 95% of the used cars that he would do. He would follow with Megs #26 by hand and his cars would look great. The other 5% he would have to use a compound.

I'm sorry but BC2 (and all of automagic) is crap compared to #66 (and all of meguiars). I've used both and 66 blows it away on any paint color and manufacturer. Before you come back and flame me, try it out, you'll never use automagic again.

I bought some ColorX in hopes of making it my one step go to product and it didn't let me down..I tried it on the GF's car which has seen some serious abuse and it cleans up minor swirls and defects and leaves a nice shine afterwards..I used NXT spray wax after and she never washes it, two months now and it still beads up, for cheap OTC stuff its hard to beat.

Here's another Auto Magic vs. the world debate again. Not again. It seems like every time me or someone else brings their products up, spiders crawl out of people's skin?? If you stay on the positive side and don't bash people's opinions, you'll have a tendancy of appearing professional.
