One-step product for a paid detail?

The friend whom I usually detail with has recently informed me that several of his neighbors, after seeing us out detailing our own cars in his driveway, have inquired about getting theirs done. So, we've decided to make up some price lists and pass them around.

We've pretty much got our service levels down pat, but I need some assistance in picking a product that I don't use on my own car: a one-step, or all-in-one type product. The ones that come to mind are PwC and AIO. I was pretty much planning on using PwC, but I just read in another thread that it really doesn't have that much carnauba in it, and that applying by machine results in even less, so I'm wondering how the durability is when applied by PC. AIO would be another possibility, but much more costly. Other suggestions are welcome.

To give you an idea, our levels of service will be wash and clay followed by:
  • Single stage: One-step product TBD
  • Two-stage: SSR 1 or 2 followed by customer's choice of carnauba (Natty's/Meg's 26) or sealer/wax (EX/NXT)

I'm a little biased, but Polish with Carnauba or regular Moose Wax (the chocolate stuff) would be your best bet. Moose Wax is a little easier to use and and offers excellent cleaning. PwC tends to look just a bit better. Durability is usually 3 months out of each.

Personally, I'd choose Meguiar's #66.... it works great by PC and Rotary, depending on what you have available to you.

By hand I'd agree with GearHead -- ColorX is pretty good stuff.

I did training for a shop once that simply did not wax. They used a glaze-wax that had some cutting action with a rotary and repeated every three months.

I've never felt comfortable leaving a glaze-wax by rotary three months in Canada. They do good work, but they are not concerned about long-term paint care. They are thinking of 3-5 years, and getting paid for the reconditioning.

Perhaps in California you can do that, though.
