One less Enzo.....

I'm sorry but if I had an Enzo I wouldn't let any of my friends drive it on a track, I don't care how close we are or how good a driver they say they are :)

well the owners of the other 398 are happy their investment probably increased by a quarter million. Saw the video of the crash.......to add insult he poses by it for a photo op.

video link?

If it was your freakin' dream car of which only 400 were produced, why did you let and unskilled driver drive it on a track??? I don't feel sorry for him at all.

I admire what Daniel Sadek said in his quote to the media:

"I'm glad Eddie came out of the crash OK, but my dream car got destroyed," Sadek said. "I went to my trailer for about 15 minutes and I thought,`There's people dying every day. A lot of worse things are happening in the world.'"

Sounds like a good guy that isn't money hungry...I can think of a few "stars" who would be taking this to court just to get payback.

Agreed. I'm sure he is upset, but a good guy to make that statement. I'm sure there will be an insurance claim. There are 2 for sale on the Dupont Registry if he is in the market to replace it.

Anybody else notice that idiot cameraman behind the guard rail there? I realize the cocnrete rails are sturdy and all, BUT if I see a car coming at me...I'm going to get somewhere else as fast I can. Too bad about the car.

At least Eddie admits he can't drive:

"Undercover Brother's good at karate and all the rest of that, but the Brother can't drive," said Griffin.

I found that humorous :D

" This is a first, a producer will offer his own cars - among them Porsche Carrera GT - for the action movie scenes. The movie named “Redline, starring Eddie Griffin, will be an auto thriller that will include the personal car collection of the producer, real estate investor Daniel Sadek, who is financing the movie with $26 million.

Daniel Sadek not only that he is using his own cars including a Phantom, Lamborghini Murcielago, Enzo Ferrari, Ferrari F430, Ferrari Scaglietti and two Mercedes McLarens for the movie but what is more shocking is that Sadek’s $200,000 Porsche Carrera GT will be crashed during one sequence."

Well he can now add the Enzo to that list. Hmmmm wonder if it was a stunt to grow more interest in the film. One can only wonder.

Bah, if the guy has a collection as extreme as that he can buy a new one. I wouldn't be too upset if I had as much money as he did. Besides, a CGT is a lot sexier, and a whole lot less expensive, IMO.

on the radio this morning, some guy called in and claimed he worked on this Redline movie. he said that there were 4 clone/kit cars made of the Enzo especially for the movie. he also said that each clone cost $350k and this so called publicity stunt was planned for months now. oh well, either way wrecking a nice car is just no good.

... it wouldn't really surprise me if it was a publicity stunt, living as we do in the days of FAKE reality tv.

Nonetheless... Eddie is going to get ribbed/teased about this for YEARS.

Great entertainment tho... A bunch of us caught the footage on the news at lunchtime (have a couple of plasma screens in the cafeteria). The impact of the car with the concrete lane dividers met with a collective OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! from the crowd. Nice change from a high speed chase on the freeways.

Yeah, I'd take that as gospel.
