It's time for the Weekend Detailing Check.



In my case, the Maxima is getting a much needed bath and wax with Souveran. :D

Blitz Wax



This should keep me occupied for pretty much the entire weekend.
 
Add 2nd layer of Blitz on top of Glaze & Autoglym. Wash engine bay and add Autoglym Super Resin & Extra Gloss, I dont use wax here as it does not seem to last to long. Try One Grand DIY on the tyres to see how it looks.



Rain is forecast, so I might just do the cabin instead.

Hopefully I'll wash and QD the Cobra tonight, but I will get absolutely nothing done this weekend...wife is having a garage sale :(

I hate garage sales...... I always get people asking if my detailing supplies and stuff are for sale.....



and one even asked if my car was for sale once because it was still sitting in the garage......

as for my detailing schedule - I'm not sure yet...... the Blazer needs a fresh SMRing/etc. but its not really worth it as it will rain next week (again) anyways......



it sucks when you get to that point where you feel "detailing your car isn't worth doing because it gets messed up again way too quickly...."
 
This weekend I'm detailing the interior. It's time to change the winter rubber mats for the carpeted summer mats! I also plan to Klasse my wheels, and clean my license plate holders.



Then I'll just be waiting for my first ever order of Zaino to arrive for next weekend's exterior detailing.
 
Saturday: Normal Washings

Sunday: 2002 Concours d'Elegance Show at Ault Park. Yipeee. :bounce Dont' worry, I'll get plenty of pics. :xyxthumbs
 
No detailing for me this weekend. Car will be sitting at ATL airport until next week.



Saturday is the Blackhawk Museum in Nor Cal hangin with GeekySteve.



Might go to Antioch or Altamont on Sat night.



We'll be at the CART race at Laguna Seca on Sunday.



Plenty of intermittent partyin between events all weekend.



My car will be extra grubby next week, that's for sure.
 
Jeez, what was I thinking? After reading my previous post I can't believe I consider myself an Autopian. I mean, placing my social life above a clean car? What's my problem?



To atone for my sins, please see the attached pic. Yes, I washed my car this PM eventhough it'll be parked at the grubby airport lot. No way I can be a self-respecting Autopian with a dirty car.

Report back on your guys’ weekend, sounds like a blast. Can’t believe I’ve never been to the Blackhawk Museum. Monterey is a great town, cannery row, whale watching tours, 13 mile drive, the aquarium etc..but I’m sure the race events will take up the whole day.

I started early today. Did a Z7 wash and repainted all the black trim on the Explorer today. :eek: What a job. Tomorrow it gets another layer of Zaino. Also my parents just got back from Palm Springs and the C5 is a dirtball. Need to at least wash that one.



Bret, wow, that sounds like a great weekend. I've heard the Blackhawk is awesome but I've never been there. And Monterey is beautiful. My grandparents live up there. If you want some great Italian food, go to Joe Rombi's in Pacific Grove. Or try Mission Ranch, which is Clint Eastwood's restaurant.

My sister's family is here for the weekend, so no detailing for me! :( But I plan on sneaking in here to Autopia when I can to see what's up!

You need to get a beater or a good friend to give you a ride to the airport. Leaving car at airport! :scared No way in Hell!!!!
