once a year polish/ wax......

As a new member first let me say as one of the many, many folks out here who have clicked and viewed thousands of times without posting I am thankful fo the many tips I have picked up over the past year. Great community, great guys and the before and after pics are better than the swimsuit issue. Now my question..........

Granpapa just bought a new 2005 LeSabre about 4 months ago. I am visiting this weekend and I am afraid that my detail job (the cars first but he keeps it pretty clean) might be the last wax/protection this car sees for at least 6-8 months. (It is light green and he lives in hot S. GA. The car is garaged.) Bottom line................... do I top Deep Crystal polish with NXT or Megs Gold Class for best durability? If you have another fav. I would have to pick it up at wall-mart or autozone. No time to online order. Thanks again and sorry for the rookie question. (yes I did search but I was either overwhelmed or struck out.)

Try some Mother's products. I would go with either a cleaner/wax or a polish/glaze than a carnauba wax topper.

I'd combine some of the previous suggestions and try to find both Liquid Glass and Collinite. Use the LG first then top with Collinite. Try some boat places for the Collinite and autoparts places for the LG. Let your fingers do the walking ;) and you just might find both products without too much trouble.

I bet there is an Advance auto parts store with a marine section in the JAX area. You'll find Collinite Insulator Wax there. Around here it's $10.88.
