Older video games and LCD TVs

it was my first time...
Hey guys,

This might seem like a kind of weird question, but I figured this was the place to ask. I still have the original Nintendo/SNES/Genesis game consoles and games. I actually like to play them more than all these crazy new video games.

Anyway, I was at someones house the other night who actually has an old Nintendo system as well. Someone had asked him to setup but the guy quickly said no, and something about his new LCD TV will get messed up from the system. Something about the low 8/16 bits will mess up the pixels.

I'm just wondering if there is any truth to this, and if I should be concerned?

Thanks!

That be interesting to find out because I have the original NES and love to play Mario Bros. Even though it's been about a year since I've hooked it up. LOL

Actually I doubt it would ruin anything. I'm willing to bet it would just be stretched out looking or look horrible?

It actually looks fine, just a little clearer. And I hear you with Super Mario Bros, plus Dr. Mario makes for a fun drinking game.
