Older car, no clearcoat

I think it's a 1992 or 1994 Mazda Miata White.

Not sure if it has a clearcoat.

Paint is in ok condition. This is my normal procedure, is there anything I shouldn't do if there is no clearcoat ?

wash then clay. Polish with Menzerna IP, FPII.

AIO then UPP.

thanks

Yeah, some Miatas came with single stage, but I don't remember which colors/years. The process is really pretty much the same, just don't freak when you get a lot of paint transfer to the pads :D

Oh, SS white can be hard, so don't be surprised by that either.

I get my best results on single stage paint using a paste wax as my last step product. Lower solvent level, less chance of streaking.

Thanks for the help.

Didn't have time to polish but did everything else. Spent more time using clay.

Owner decided to use NXT, bottle sitting in his trunk. Thick stuff, tought to apply by hand. The PC was much faster.

There was some white residue on my green MF towels. I prefer working on clearcoats.
