Okay, I still have not started...

I posted a question I think a week ago about how to clean the top of a minivan. Well, I haven't detailed either the minivan or the accord. Instead, I have read more and ordered and bought more products! :nervous:

So I bought one of those platform workhorse things (bought a $40 one, so that I can afford a PC 7336SP :xyxthumbs ). So this is what I have on hand now, and what I have on order:

On Hand:

PC 7336SP

Megs Gold Class Wash, detailer, liquid wax, hot shine wheel cleaner

Klasse AIO / SG

303 Protectant

Plexus Plastic Cleaner

Stoners Invisible Glass

Megs NXT Glass Cleaner

TW Bug and Tar Remover

Megs Scratchx

mitts: sheepskin and chenille

towels: many microfiber towels, and terry cloth

On Order:

DAS Pad Kit

PB SSR1

PB SSR2.5

PB SSR3

PB Nattys

P21s GEPC

Mothers Chrome Polish

Meguiars Versa-Angle Ultra Plush Wash Mop

Clay Magic

Primer, base paint, clear coat pens on order from paintscratch.com.

Here's the deal, I have a 97 Accord, that I plan to use as my guinea pig before I hit the new sienna. The Accord has a lot of little chips on the bumper (some down to the metal) from standard parallel parking idiots when I lived in NYC. The accord has scratches, cob webs, etc. I think I know what to do (from all the readings), but just want to double check the order, and then a curve ball:

Plan of attack:

Wash Car (megs gold class wash)

clay (clay magic)

PB SSR2.5 on Orange pad

PB SSR1 on Green pad (if necessary)

AIO on Blue pad

SG from a mist spray bottle by hand with foam pad?

Maybe nattys by hand.

Curve ball:

As mentioned, the accord has alot of little chips on the bumper and the hood(no bigger than an eraser head of a pencil, just alot of them). Should I fix the paint first (requiring me to wait 30 days to cure) or say screw the paint and just :buffing: :)

My gut is telling me to do the paint thing first.. Patience is a virtue... :angry

With the paint curing, can I still clean, clay, polish? I assume AIO/SG/Natty's is a no no on new paint.
