Oil stain on seat

How can I get an oil stain off of a cloth interior seat? I'm not sure what will be aggressive enough to get the oil out but not leave a light spot.

Jason,

I have had good sucess with the "dry cleaner type" spot sprays you can buy at automotive and general stores. Just have a good supply of paper towels on hand to dab the cleaner dry. You might want to test a small hidden area for color fastness too.

Dry cleaner as in Woolite foam spray or something? I have a wet vac, so getting it dry isn't a problem.

No I was talking about the instant cleaners like "Spot shot" carpet stain remover or like the "Blue Corel" dry clean products.

If you have the extractor, you might want to try dabbing with diluted castrol Super Clean, it is one of the best APC's out there.

Good luck!

Like RedondoV6 said, Spot Shot works very well. You can pick it up at most super markets, Wal-Marts, etc. But do check a spot to check for coler fastness first.

Also, as mentioned earlier have some plain white paper towels handy. You spray this stuff on the stain then blot it up with a paper towel.

I don't know if you can still buy Energine your area but it works great for petroleum type spots that other things won't get out. You can buy it in the grocery store, it's a little gold can. Basically it's dry cleaning fluid.

Also most of the carpet and upholstery cleaners are very good degreasers and will usually take out most oils deposits.
