OID vs OCW

I have both. OID is a QD and OCW is an lsp, so it's a bit of an apples-to-oranges comparison. Personally, I don't care for OID that much. When mixed at the recommended ratio it can streak a bit and its looks/slickness are only average, IME. Fwiw, I think OCW feels slicker than OID and in general is a much better product. Of course, it's not for removing dust, bugs, etc.

A really slick, nice looking QD is Surf City Garage's Hot Rod Detailer.

OID is slicker and glossier, more of a sealant look.

OCW has more depth and glow, more of a wax look.

I agree and would add FK425 to the list

OID + OCW + ONR + DI H20 in a fine misting bottle = very slick, cleans, adds gloss, minimal protection.

But, I personally think OCW is slicker.

Yes.

It doesn't streak badly, but I do find OID streaks more than other brands. It's most noticeable on glass, IME. It would probably streak less if further diluted, though.

Hot Rod Detailer is amazing!! I haven't used OID,but I have used Opti-Clean,and I think it leaves a very slick and nice-looking finish too.

Yes, HRD is a very nice QD...slick, glossy and streak-free. It's definitely one of my favorites. Beyond Black Tire Pro is another great Surf City Garage product...it spreads easily, covers evenly and looks great (not too shiny, either). It's my go-to tire shine.

Such smearing comes from the product depositing too much actives onto the surface. Stretch the dilution a bit and the issue disappears.

I'm sure diluting OID further would help make it a better all-around product. I never diluted my OID because it didn't really streak on paint (and I mostly used it as a drying aid). When needed, I would just use another QD on glass. My gallon of OID is nearly used up now and I'm not planning on buying another. Good advice, though.
