Even though this is an off topic forum where we can shoot the breeze and talk about non-detailing related topics, the rules of Autopia still apply here. That means the same civility and respect we show to one another when on the other forums are to be extended here.

We don't have a fighting forum here on Autopia. If you want to fight the use your emails. Keep the brawling off the public forums. If someone makes an offensive post then please please please report it and we'll fix it. PM whichever mod is on the board at the time and we'll be on it like white on rice.

While the posts are generating a sense of community, they are cluttering the "new thread" list for members who only visit once or twice a week.



We have a new means to recognize the birthdays of our fellow Autopians. Birthday greetings are now found in the Welcome Center. Also, the person who's celebrating their birthday will get a PM. But in the meantime, if you want to personally wish someone on the board a happy birthday, please do so via PM, Email, or electronic card (e.g. Blue Mountain, Hallmark)

Einszett ad-related threads are going to be automatically deleted if they appear in Off Topic. Many of the threads tend to be in clear violation of the community rules and can get out of hand very quickly.
 
Posting of copyrighted material without prior written permission from the authors will be construed as copyright infringement by the moderating staff.



The offending thread will be removed immediately and the offender will be issued a warning via PM. Repeated offenses will be grounds for immediate banning. No exceptions.
 
Considering that this is an election year in the USA, there are going to be a ton of threads relating to politics. However, I am admonishing you all to heed the following rule when discussing this emotionally charged subject:



Play Nice!!!!



Many of these threads will get out of hand easily (much like many Zaino vs Klasse threads in the past) and lead to a bunch of personal attacks between members.



Any threads found in violation of this request will be subject to immediately closing and deletion. Any personal attacks will invoke stiffer sanctions up to and including banishment.

Lately, we have been getting complaints about Free iPod threads. From here on out, these posts will be treated as spam and the originators will be dealt with as such.
