This will be an ongoing project to put together the actual manufacturer and the numerous brands and trademark names of DA polishers mostly coming out of the PRC these days. This might help those looking for off brand DA polishers that are not associated to the more established brands like Makita, Dewalt, Metabo, Porter Cable, Hitachi and Rupes etc... Feel free to contribute.

The name of the source manufacturer is in bold and the brand, series and model number will follow it.

Not necessarily. Rupes is making polishers in USA in the $400s. One could say - they are a tool manufacturer so it’s easier. I’m sure - but their detailing consumables are top notch as well - wherever they are made.
 
Everyone wants this but few will pay for it.

Glad to hear the Rupes is made here I always thought it was Italy.

I love my Rupes machines. Smooth and comfortable.

Think about car parts. It`s almost impossible to find out where they`re made and by who. Most from China. German brands, American brands now made elsewhere.
